Cloud computing is the new technology, which is totally dependent on the internet to maintain large applications, where data is shared over one platform to provide better services to the clients belonging to a different organization. Load balancing is playing a vital role in maintaining the rhythm of Cloud computing. The performance metrics of load balancing algorithms in cloud are response time and waiting time. Load balancing is one of the main challenges in cloud computing. It is a technique which is required to distribute the dynamic workload across multiple nodes to ensure that no single node is overloaded. So that various Load balancing approaches help in optimal utilization of resources and hence in enhancing the overall performance of the system

Sign Language is the primary means of communication for the hearing and speech impaired community. The problem arises when speech impaired or deaf people try to express themselves to others with the help of these sign language grammars. Whereas other people themselves are not aware of the sign language. Hence it is commonly seen that conversation of deaf and speech impaired people are limited to their family members only. Sign language interpretation system can be used to help the impaired communicate and interact with people without the disability. Gesture interpretation systems can be vision based or glove based hardware systems. Thus, this paper compares the vision based systems and the traditional hardware approach. It has been noticed that the traditional hardware approach has challenges over Vision based System. By efficient use of computer vision and pattern recognition, it is possible to implement it for communication purpose.

This system is very helpful for saving the life of a person drowning in the water. This is done by informing the heartbeat rate of any person in the water to the lifeguard. Our system will monitor the heart rate. It will then transmit using RF. its range would be around 5-6 meters, if under water around 2-4 meters. For this the system includes transmitting and receiver circuit. The receiver circuit is with the lifeguard to inform about the person's heart beat rate, while the transmitting circuit is with the person in the water.

Today's traffic management system has no significance on live traffic scenario, which leads to amateurish traffic management systems. These traffic timers just show the pre-set time, this is like using open loop system. If we consolidate a closed loop system using camera, it is possible to predict the required time on traffic light timers according to the traffic density. If the traffic light timers are showing only required time to regulate the traffic, then the time wasted on unwanted green signals (green signal, when there is no traffic) will be saved. Timer for each lane is the simplest way to control traffic and if those timers are predicting required time based on traffic density present in the lane then automatically the system will be more efficient. This proposed system measures the number of vehicles present in each lane using image processing in MATLAB software. It aims to control traffic based on current scenario of the traffic density present on the roads and also gives emergency alert to clear the lane in which emergency vehicle such as ambulance is detected irrespective of the traffic density.

As the world is becoming digital, a book management system will help to reduce the human efforts. By using the system that we have created, one can easily check the availability of books in any library, bookstore, etc. In this system that we are implementing, an Android based application is used at the user end to check for the availability of books. Primarily, the user is required to go at the issue desk if one wants to borrow any new book. Here a fingerprint module is interfaced with a microcontroller(Arduino UNO) to authenticate the user in order to give access them to the books database. Only users that areauthenticated can borrow a fixed number of books for a predefined duration. An RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tag is embedded in books to prevent theft. The user needs to scan the book before exiting the room. A Raspberry Pi board is used for linking fingerprint module with the user database.

Self-Balancing Unicycle is based on the principle of inverted pendulum. It consists of both hardware and software implementation. Mechanical model is based on the state space design of the cart pendulum system. To find its stable space inverted position, a generic feedback controller i.e. a PID controller is used. According to the situation, we have to control both angle of pendulum and position of cart. Mechanical design consists of brushless DC motor Hub Motor, Arduino controller unit, IMU sensor Inertial Measurement Unit and motor driver as a basic need. The acceleration and angle with respect to vertical ground is provided by the IMU sensor. The motor controller which is attached with the motor controls the speed of the motor. These system parameters determine the force needed to balance the unicycle.................

In classical guard system we may need to have more than one person to guard important places in order to increase the scope of the guard, and keeper cannot continuously monitor the important places which were guarded endure some effects such as drowsiness and fatigue which affect the accuracy of gun shooting. The main objective of this project is to build an automatic guard system by using control of gun and camera performs tracking depending on that servo motors move and points the gun towards the person using Arduino controller.

The work presented in this paper covers the development of a low cost robust embedded system using Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) and Global Positioning System(GPS) technologies that is capable of ensuring prompt action in case of a vehicle crash in notifying emergency hotline services. GSM module Sim900a and GPS module Sim28ml serve as the key components in the system with Atmega328p as the microcontroller. The system also acknowledges the issue of vehicle theft and tactfully notifies the owner in case of a car theft. A number of tests of the system in lab proved the system to be extremely accurate and quick in terms of response which can further be replicated in a real working environment as a fully functional system in a car.
