Images get blurred when they are acquired and contaminated by noise while being transmitted, hence it is necessary to restore the image and remove the noise present in the image. The deconvoluion is performed for removing blur from the image in many application such as astronomy, remote sensing and medical imaging etc.In this paper we have used wavelet transform to deblur the image and Daubechies wavelet is used for this purpose. We have compared the performance of wavelet based deconvolution with the Weiner deconvolution method. The simulation has been performed by contaminating the image using different types of blur and signal to noise ratio in both cases have been calculated .

SCADA stands for Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition. SCADA system is employed all over the world for effectively monitoring and controlling different utility networks. Indian Railways employs SCADA systems for monitoring and controlling the distribution of Traction Power. The systems employed were of proprietary in nature and did not have any standard specifications both with respect to protocol and hardware. Moreover, the SCADA systems from different vendors could not coexist in a given network. In view of this, Railways formulated the specifications for the SCADA systems wherein the systems should conform to SPORT protocol for data transaction and corrective action of tripping the circuit breakers in case of over load etc. In current scenario, lots of intelligence needs to be built into the Remote Terminal Unit, which requires a powerful Central Processor Unit (CPU). The objective of this paper is to present the design and development of the CPU Card for Remote Terminal Unit of SCADA system for Indian Railways. The traction power distribution network requires continuous real time monitoring and controlling of the system failing which, leads to catastrophic disasters. SCADA system helps in achieving real time monitoring. This new CPU card design meets all the high demands of the Indian Railways.

Electric vehicle (EV) appears to be one of the viable solutions for the growing concerns for environmental protection and the fast rate of depletion of world fuel oil supply. EV can become a viable alternative to the internal combustion engine only if they are able to meet certain reliability, safety, performance, and cost criteria. In addition, electrical vehicles have serious disadvantages because of the limitation on cruising range imposed by weight, capacity of the electric accumulators and long recharging time. Improvement of efficiency of motor traction drives is an important issue in pure electric vehicles to improve the running distance on one charge [1]. In this paper, the authors evaluate IPM motor by considering their influence on the performance of the vehicle. The evaluation is demonstrated experimentally.

This article looks at a remotely operated Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAVs) being deployed on a
predefined area. A UAV has a communication link for it to be controlled and commanded from the ground. We
need to ensure that even under adverse physical and electromagnetic conditions this link is always definable and
has an acceptable level of quality of service. This link has to be robust to take into effect Radio Frequency (RF)
propagation conditions, interference, line of sight obstruction among other factors. Thus given that a UAV is
assigned to do a certain task, this article proposes a solution that guarantees communication between the
deployed UAV and the control center even under adverse physical and electromagnetic conditions. A solution of
using a number of relay UAVs on a predefined area is presented and a computer model that addresses the issues
of topology in which the UAV and relays are deployed, the power budget, geometry and parameters that
guarantee redundancy of the system is also presented. This computer model was done in MATLAB.

Titanium Dioxide films were synthesized on glass substrate by using sol-gel spin coating method. The thin film samples were characterized for its structural and optical properties. The synthesis was carried out by optimizing preparative conditions, such as Temperature (T), pH, Concentration, Time to get uniform, adherent and pinhole free films. The prepared films were pre-annealed at 300°C and post-annealed at 500°C. Structural properties of Titanium Oxide thin films were studied by XRD pattern. Scherrer's formula was used to calculate crystallite size. Surface morphological of Titanium Oxide films studied using SEM which shows granular surface. The band gap energy was calculated with the help of UV-VIS Spectroscopy.

Ancient Sri Lankan documents inscribed on stone surface are usually contaminated with various kinds of noises such as scratches, cracks, voids, etc. In authors' previous paper, ideal shape of Brahmi letters has been studied by a digital method and some alphabet fonts of early Brahmi scripts have been created from the analysis of a lot of photographic data of ancient Sri Lankan inscriptions of the same period in the history. The present paper deals with a precise method of identification of ancient letters with the aid of the alphabet fonts, which leads to automatic reading of ancient inscriptions by computers.
