The study investigated the effect of reflective inquiry instructional technique on students‟ achievement and interest in Radio Television and Electronic Works trade (RTVE) in technical colleges in Lagos State of Nigeria using quasi experimental pretest posttest non-equivalent research design. The population for the study consisted of 105 year II technical RTVE students. Four research questions were raised and answered while six hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The instruments used for data collection were RTVE Achievement Test (RTVEAT) and RTVE interest inventory (RTVEII). The instruments were validated by three experts in RTVE and measurement and evaluation. The reliability coefficient of RTVEAT was found to be 0.83 using Pearson Product Moment Correlation coefficient, while that of RTVEII was found to be 0.88 using Cronbach Alpha after trial testing. Mean was used to answer the research questions; while ANCOVA was employed to test the hypotheses. Findings from the study revealed that reflective inquiry instructional technique is more effective in improving students‟ achievement and interest in RTVE than conventional method. There was an effect of gender on students‟ achievement and interest in RTVE favouring boys. The study found out that there were no interaction effects of reflective inquiry instructional technique and gender on achievement and interest of students in RTVE. It was therefore recommended that the National Board for Technical Education should carry out a review of RTVE trade curriculum for Technical Colleges with a view to incorporate reflective inquiry instructional technique into the teaching of RTVE trade.

This paper just tries to pour down my understanding on the relationship and influence between teacher competence and students‟ achievement. To evaluate this relationship and influence, it analyzes the concepts of competence, teacher competence, and the influences of teacher competence to increase the students‟ achievement. Hope, it will be an alternative way to reflect us as teachers to do our job professionally. Education is the ability to meet life‟s situation, it is a character building process, enhancing one‟s personality and making him/her rational, capable, responsive and intelligent. Competency standards are concerned with application of professional knowledge and skills within the workplace and are underpinned by teachers‟ professional values Competence is usually associated with highly professional performance and there is a direct link in the field of education between a teacher‟s professional competence and pupil performance. The paper discusses teacher training and professional competencies and suggests the measures for enhancement and development.

Buildings are becoming higher and higher nowadays in maximizing land use and investment return. But along with this it is also very necessary to calculate the appropriate and accurate date of completion or duration by considering the delays which cannot be able to overcome anyhow. In construction of High Rise building it has been found that some of delays like delays in Material supply by Tower crane at higher levels are impossible to redeem. Hence, it becomes very important to take in to account and Reschedule the program to compute accurate date of completion of High Rise Project. This report serves the purpose of high rise buildings, the importance of planning, scheduling, analysis of delays occurring due to decreasing capacity of material supply by Tower Crane at different levels of High Rise Buildings due to very High Wind Pressure at higher level and finally providing a Delays Factor analyzed for rescheduling purpose to get accurate date of completion of project. This includes study of delays, which would likely occur in the construction of high rise buildings of more than 43 storeys due to delay in material supply by Tower Crane at site due to High Wind Pressure at higher level.

Coal fly ash (CFA), generated during combustion of coal in the electricity production is recognized as an environmental pollutant. CFA is composed primarily of some oxides including SiO2, Al2O3 having active site and unburned carbon that anables it to act as a dual site adsorbent. However, the existence of unburned carbon in coal fly ash can generate two possibilities. It can improve the adsorption capacity, or contradictionly hinder the adsorption. The aim of this paper is to study the contribution of unburned carbon on coal fly ash toward characters, adsorption capacity and adsorption mechanism. In this context, CFA with various unburned carbon content were employed as adsorbent of Pb(II) in aqueous solutions. The research shows that the existence of unburned carbon in CFA leads to the increase of specific surface area and pore size, but the adsorption capacity for Pb(II) decrease. Adsorption kinetics of Pb(II) onto CFA could be approximated with a pseudo second order kinetic model with the rate constant was 0.298 g.mg-1.min-1.

The article presents a new development of the Moscow State University of Technology and Management - sonochemical reactor for water processing. A mission of sonochemistry is described and her factors that can effectively apply her to the food industry, disclosed. The results of studies of the food sonochemistry described, mainly for technology of dairy industry. Considered the problems of sonochemical reactors, which prevent the use technology of nonparametric amplification of cavitation in the food industry. The project of reactors of the cylindrical wave and nonparametric amplification of cavitation, which can be effectively used for the industrial preparation of the mixtures from dry dairy components proposed and was compared with the known reactors.

Soil samples collected from 16 clay deposits across Nigeria were tested for consolidation. Compression index were calculated from the consolidation results. The values of compression index from the experimental results were then compared with those obtained using seven different empirical correlations from literature. The experimental values were correlated with values obtained from each of the considered empirical correlations. Coefficient of determination (R2) was used as evaluation criteria to check for the empirical correlation that best fits the considered clay deposits. Observation of the results showed that the empirical correlation, proposed by Azzuoz et al for Chicago clays has the highest R2 of 66.25 % , and therefore found to best fits the clay deposits considered.

The paper discusses the opportunities and challenges for transportation feeding and inventory problem solution model over the condition structure of grass and animals. It is obvious that major challenges of tracking assumptions on transportation cost will come from outside, including in particular regional pressures at a landscape scale as a result of structure and logistics development priorities and more diffused pressures caused by rising resources and higher economic expectations. While annual flooding is necessary for maintenance of habitats within the area condition, modifications to notion and model formulation as a result, management have the potential to impact on the way in which flooding affects the structure resources area.

This research aims to prioritize obstacles in the application of the suggestions system from employees view (case study: Kermanshah province ministry of Education), It is of the descriptive in type in which the library and applied study methodologies as well as one group T-test are used and the Freedman test is utilized in order to prioritize factors and the anthropic method is used to prove the ranking which the sample data is the whole employees of the organization and 195 people were chosen through kook ran sampling method who answered the items in the questionnaire. The results show that in prioritizing obstacles in the application of the system of suggestions in cooperative management, the obstacles emanated from employees come first and those of management come second and those oh organization and structure come third and fourth respectively.
