Index properties are extensively used in geotechnical engineering practice. Among them, liquid limit is an important physical property used in classification and correlations with engineering properties of soils. Liquid limit, plastic limit and shrinkage limit of Black cotton soil (BCS) and mine tailings (MT) mixtures treated with lime are investigated and are presented in this paper. In the present investigation an attempt has been made to utilize the mine tailings in geotechnical applications and to evaluate the index properties of black cotton soil and mine tailings mixture treated with lime. The test results indicate that the progressive decrease in liquid limit, decrease in plastic limit and increase in shrinkage limit with curing time. The liquid limit in particular is used in many correlations with engineering properties and it is significant to know the stress history and general properties of the soil met with constructions. Liquid limit is used for the estimation of compression index and compression index is useful for the settlement analysis of soils. The Physico-chemical mechanism which alter the index properties of black cotton soil and mine tailings mixture treated with lime and the mechanisms have been explained based on thickness of diffused double layer and alteration of the reaction products of soil-lime reaction .for various curing periods.

A Third-party logistics provider (abbreviated 3PL) is a firm that provides outsourced or "third party" logistics services to companies for part, or sometimes all of their supply chain management functions. Third party logistics providers typically specialize in integrated warehousing and transportation services that can be scaled and customized to customer's needs based on market conditions and the demands and delivery service requirements for their products and materials. The third party logistics (3PL) market in India is still in a relatively nascent stage. While multinational companies in all industries have been predominant users of these services, domestic majors in leading industrial sectors have also begun to follow the footsteps of their multinational counterparts, starting with outsourcing their basic logistics functions. Realizing the significant cost reductions and several other benefits gained by these companies, a large number of small to medium companies in all the industries are gearing up to use 3PL services for their logistic functions, resulting in tremendous potential for 3PL market in India. In India total warehousing size is 1200 Billion, which is growing 40% Y –OY growth. Only 8% of private warehousing segment is organized. So there is huge opportunity in this space. As a Part of the Rs. 6500 Crore Future Group (Pantaloons Retail), Future Logistics caters to End to end logistics requirements for the retail operations of group companies like Pantaloons, Food Bazaar, and Central across 85 retail formats. Incorporated in 2007, FLSL has 800 employees, a pan-India warehousing presence of 3.5 Million Sq. feet and a dedicated transport fleet of 200 trucks. So considering with future demand and future logistics capability, it can serve as 3PL service provider across industry. Main objectives of this study are mentioned here under:

1. Try to measure the scope of 3PL in improving operational efficiency and financial performance of any organization.
2. Formulation of comprehensive business model for future logistics foray as a third party logistics player for warehouse services.
3. Analysis of current 3PL market in India.
4. Identification of future logistic strength.
5. Understanding of current market driver and future roadmap of 3PL service provider.

Wireless communication technology has shown that the application of multiple antennas at both transmitter and receiver sides improve the possibility of high data rates through multiplexing or to improve performance through diversity compared to single antenna systems. In this article, the BER performance of MMSE and Maximum Likelihood (ML) -Vertical Bells Lab Layered Space Time Architecture (V-BLAST) with different modulation techniques such as BPSK and QPSK, in Rayleigh flat fading channel has been considered. Further, the comparison of these modulation techniques with different multiple antenna configurations in Rayleigh channel is carried out. It has been concluded that both the decoders perform better using BPSK modulation scheme as compare to QPSK modulation scheme and we obtain more optimal results for 1× 4 antennas for both MMSE V-BLAST and ML-V-BLAST system in Rayleigh channel. While comparing the ML and MMSE-VBLAST for 2 X 2 antenna configurations, the better results has been obtained for ML-VBLAST System as compare to MMSE V-BLAST System in Rayleigh Channel.

Glass defects which result into poor quality are a major reason of embarrassment for manufacturers. Glass defects are typically unavoidable, but their occurrence must be minimized during the production of high-quality glasses. It is a tedious process to manually inspect very large size glasses. The manual inspection process is slow, time-consuming and prone to human error. Automatic inspection systems using image processing can overcome many of these disadvantages and offer manufacturers an opportunity to significantly improve the product quality and reduce costs. Common defects produced by these manufacturing techniques are scratches and cracks which are the real issue for the glass industry. Potential defects removal includes image denoising and FCM. Based upon the PSNR value comparison wiener filter is having highest PSNR value. Then the Universal Image Quality Index shows the segmentation parameters and Pearson correlation coefficient shows the amount of correlation.

In this paper we design a Honeynet Network Architecture which combines the both Low and High interaction Honeypots. In this architecture, low interaction honeypot play the role of a gateway to high interaction honeypot and filter out incoming traffic. This permitted us to provide comprehensive statistics about threats, collect high level information about attacks, and monitor the activities carried out by different kind attackers, capture network traffic and storing on our base operating system for further forensic.

In present work the various aspects on mathematical modelling, stability and control strategies of flexible double link manipulator have been investigated. A mathematical model of flexible double link manipulator has been developed using lagrangian method. This mathematical model has been characterized using classical and modern control theories. Their time domain and frequency domain analysis has been carried out and our study show that the mathematical model of flexible manipulator is highly unstable. Different control strategies such as PID, LQR and State feedback controller have been implemented for controlling the tip position of flexible double link manipulator using MATLAB programming. State feedback controller uses pole placement approach, while the linear quadratic regulator is obtained by resolving the Riccati equation. The best control strategy for controlling the tip position of flexible double link manipulator is obtained by implementation of LQR controller. Finally, this study proven that LQR control method is the best method as compare to PID and State feedback controller for controlling the flexible link robotic manipulator.

Excess capacity (EC) is the unused capacity in a network. We propose EC management techniques to improve network performance. Our techniques exploit the EC in two ways. First, a connection preprovisioning algorithm is used to reduce the connection setup time. Second, we use protection schemes that have higher availability and shorter protection switching time. Specifically, depending on the amount of EC available in the network, our proposed EC management techniques dynamically migrate connections between high-availability, high-backup-capacity protection schemes and low-availability, low-backup-capacity protection schemes. Thus, multiple protection schemes can coexist in the network. The four EC management techniques studied in this paper differ in two respects: when the connections are migrated from one protection scheme to another. Specifically, Lazy techniques migrate connections only when necessary, whereas Proactive techniques migrate connections to free up capacity in advance. Partial Backup Reprovisioning (PBR) techniques try to migrate a minimal set of connections, whereas Global Backup Reprovisioning (GBR) techniques migrate all connections. We develop integer linear program (ILP) formulations and heuristic algorithms for the EC management techniques improve the network performance by exploiting the EC in wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) mesh networks.
