The performance of a building in service is a function of the human intervention at every stage of a building process. In this paper, a generalized stochastic model is formulated to evaluate the performance of an ongoing construction, a case study of Laboratory Block at College of Continuing Education, University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The stochastic parameters employed in the structural reliability estimation were obtained from the non- destructive test carried out on the Laboratory Block. The model was formulated using the working stress design criteria and it was the method invoked in the structural reliability estimate. The geometric index obtained from the formulated model was 2.997 and was compared with the target geometric indices of the various structural members. It was found to be less than the target geometric indices of 4.9 for beams in flexure, 3.6 for beams in shear, 4.5 for slabs and 3.9 for columns under dead- live load combination showing that the structure is not showing promise of satisfactory performance in service and can cause serious accident which may lead to loss of lives and damage of properties on collapse.

The present research work mainly is focusing on measurement of shear fatigue strength of glass fiber epoxy laminates &chaps tan e-glass epoxy laminates on unconventional fatigue testing machine & this machine is standardized according to ASTM -6944(1990) standards. The study of DOE (Design of experiments) is exclusively done on theoretical& experimental value analysis. This work is further used to develop of manufacturing process and establishing critical test procedures for the glass fiber &epoxy laminate composite materials to be used in defence research, marine, oil refinery units & power plant equipment's. This research work played an important role in estimation of stiffness of the laminate which in turn helps for the testing to evaluate the stiffness of the laminate for further mathematical analysis. The evaluating stiffness degradation data of the various composite materials by theoretical calculation is compared with experimental value analysisand from which the relations of mechanical properties are derived. This reduction in stiffness can further be improved by advanced manufacturing process such as compressor moulding, macro spheremoulding& auto clave moulding and the results obtained from the analytical testing are used to calibrate the load transducers. The load transducers are calibrated according to ASTM 1577(1994) standards by which we can validate the results & apply as bench mark for other fatigue testing materials. The data acquisition system from standard manufacturer of model TSI-608 which exactly meets requirements. A continuous plot of time verses load could be obtainedWe can say that the required data can be generated as per expectations, which could be utilized to establish the fatigue failure behavior any kind of composite laminate.

The garden grass was utilized as low cost adsorbent to remove cadmium ions from aqueous solution usingbiosorption. All the experiments were conducted in batch system to investigate the biosorption capacity as well as the effects of pH, temperature, agitation speed, and initial metal concentration on the biosorption efficacy. Fourier Transformation Infrared Spectroscopy analysis was used to find the effectsof functional groups of garden grass in biosorptionprocess. The results showed that the garden grass could be used efficiently to remove cadmium from aqueous solution and up to 85% of cadmium removal was obtainedat the optimal conditions. The biosorption equilibrium was reached at 60 min and the maximum biosorption capacity was found to be 17.2 mg/g for 1 g dose.Experimental isotherms data well fittedthe Langmuir model. Experimental kinetics data showed that the biosorption process fitted well the pseudo-second-order kinetics model.

Hydrogen is used an additive with diesel to calculate the performance characteristics and the emission characteristics. The enhancement is also achieved in Engine performance. like brake power and indicated power at different load conditions. There was also achievement in bsfc ( Brake Specific fuel consumption ). I have taken the trial on 4 stroke, 4 cylinder diesel engine with hydraulic dynamometer at flywheel side for measurement of torque.

In the present paper, an overall model for the study of a reactive polymer flow across a heterogeneous porous medium is proposed. A moment representation is used to simulate the polymer transport and reaction processes in a two dimensional porous medium. The 2D, multiphase polymer flow model is based on a mass-transport equation for multicomponent species and is coupled with kinetic models of the gelation process using an operator splitting scheme. This model leads to using method of line technique to solve the set of equations.

In today world multiple resources distributed geographically. Optimization is most critical area in cloud computing environments. Resource allocation and time scheduling is an area that need to be taken under high consideration especially if our motive of improvement is performance enhancement. For many jobs I/O is an exploring resource. Most of the data from the grid is going to be online system. The allocation of the processor and I/O resources must be synchronized for the effective performance. For this a tree scheduling policy to accommodate parallel jobs to manage the background workload .A static space time sharing policy is implemented to estimate the planned performance.

Based on the experimental values of mechanical oscillations at selected measuring points analyzed frame OE spinning machines, is determined by the correlation coefficient depending on the amplitude of the circular frequency, which is called the circular velocity in the plane of, depending on the amplitude of the oscillation frequency. Its numerical values are shown in this paper. This was necessary because no correlation coefficients is not possible to determine the frequency curves operational safety of the analyzed assembly OE spinning machines.
