This project presents the spring less valve system used in the IC engines. This mechanism has a closing cam which does not allow cam jump as conventional valve system. It has helped us to find out how spring less valve system is better than conventional valve system. We have found out the real importance of this spring less system at higher rpm of engine and need of this system at higher rpm. This system improves the performance of IC engine by reducing power consumption for overcoming spring stiffness and avoid cam jump at high speed.

Design and development of car does not just include design and manufacturing of mechanical parts like engine, transmission , chassis , but also non technical aspects are important such as comfort, Ambient (Atmosphere) , ease of control , cleanliness ,Ergonomics and Aesthetics. Humans spend too much time in the car and if there are any dust and dirt particles it makes the environment unpleasant causing distress. And to keep the car clean is essential for a long time The project includes prototype for Automatic floor cleaning of car. The system routinely cleans the floor are of the car before an after use or on passengers demand. It consists of a mechanism using XY plotters, servo motors ,vacuum pump, servo motor shield for controlling the prototype. Market survey was done for studying various methods used by the car detailing shops in India. The current methods costs a lot more for a period of 5 years. A prototype was developed to reduce the cost required as well as the human effort needed

The focus of this project is to experimentally analyse heat transfer rate of a synthetic jet using different orifice shapes having same hydraulic diameter. We use three different orifice shape to analyse the heat transfer rate by using synthetic jet. In this study we use orifice shape circular, square and oval . The properties of synthetic jet for three different orifice shapes are studied for the constant frequency at different heights. The heat transfer rate depends upon the velocity of synthetic jet which in terms depend upon the frequency of synthetic jet producing device. In this study we found the heat transfer rate for circular, oval and square orifice. The maximum heat transfer rate was found at approximate height 60 mm for all three orifice shapes. After comparing the heat transfer rate of three orifice shape, circular orifice has the maximum heat transfer rate. As the height increases beyond or decreases below optimum height the heat transfer rate decreases.

An Solar energy conversion systems are facing the problem of having low optical and thermal performance. The reasons behind this arelow thermal conductivity of flowing fluid and non-effective optical coating of the solar collector. Henceour aim to improve the thermal and optical performance of the energy conversion systems. This project focuses on the application of nano-fluids for solar collectors operating in low, medium and high temperature ranges to increase its performance. A review on applications of nano- fluids and nanocomposites shows the desired improvement in thermal and optical properties of solar energy conversion systems.which includes use of concentrated and non-concentrated systems that convert solar energy into electricity or thermal power..............

Now-a-days, the natural fibers from renewable natural resources offer the potential to act as a reinforcing material for polymer composites alternative to the use of glass, carbon and other man-made fibers. Among various fibers, jute is most widely used natural fiber due to its advantages like easy availability, low density, low production cost and satisfactory mechanical properties. A hybrid composite is a combination of two or more different types of fiber in which one type of fiber balance the deficiency of another fiber. As fiber reinforced laminated composite materials offer high specific strength and stiffness, they are greatly used in aircraft and wind turbine industries. The mechanical and thermal properties of the laminated composites vary based on the orientation of fibers and hence, they are treated as anisotropic materials.............

The aim of this project is to design and develop a process to extract high quality natural fibers from the banana pseudo stems. Manual extraction of banana fiber produces good quality of fiber but it much time consuming. Labour expense is quite high and output is quite low. Hence efficient extraction of banana fiber can only be possible through mechanization. Now a day's machines exist for extracting banana fiber but are manually operated and cannot be applied for mass production. This project is specially designed for extracting banana fibre from the banana stem. The machine is designed in a very simple way such that it can be used by everyone, as the mechanism is very simple. In this paper, extracted banana fiber (EBF) and waste banana..........

A vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) is to convert wind power into the useful form of energy by turbine blade. The Vertical axis wind turbines are effective than horizontal axis wind turbines as they require less space than horizontal blades and the turbines does not need to be pointed in direction of the wind for effective output. This is useful in a site where the wind direction is highly variable. The Maglev Wind Turbine is expected to bring wind power technology to the next level. Furthermore, the system can be suited in use for rural and urban areas of low wind speed regions. The wind speeds in most of Asian zone is much lower, especially in the cities. The present day methods are not sufficient to keep pace with ever increasing demand. The recent severe energy crisis has forced to think & develop the power generation by renewable sources (mainly wind power). This system can also be implementing on the highway and rooftop of buildings. In this project study of alternate configuration of wind turbine for power generation purpose.

Shot Blasting machine use a various hanger during machining of various process, in this work its essential to increase production rate in RVM industry. For this its required to increase hanger capacity for the various castings used in the industry. To increase hanger capacity for number of casting its required to redesigned the hanger such a way that its capacity is maximum up to 300Kg of short blasting machine. With the study of shot blasting machine and its hanger we should have to design hanger as requirement

The methods for heat transfer augmentation are relevant to several engineering applications. In recent years, the high cost of energy as well as material has resulted in an increased effort and aimed at producing more efficient heat exchange equipment. There is a necessity for minimization of a heat exchanger in specific applications, such as aerospace application, through an augmentation of heat transfer. For this purpose a pipe in pipe heat exchanger is used to improving the methods of heat exchange between two fluids which are at different temperatures..............

In the current phase of the world, we see many automobiles running on the roads. Automobiles rule the roadways. But there are also many problems faced by the automobiles while actually dealing with many situations on roadside. One of the problems generally faced is by the side mirror of the vehicle. If the vehicle comes into the close distance between another vehicle, there may be the chances that the mirror of the vehicle crashes and gets damaged. The motive of our project is to avoid the damage to the side mirrors by use of some sensors and mechanisms. Method for the application of our system is to make use of ultrasonic sensors which control the movement of the motors attached to the mirror, when some solid object comes in the range of the sensors. We are using Arduino boards for this purpose..............
