In aircraft design, a high-lift device is a component on an aircraft's wing that increases the amount
of lift produced by the wing. Wind tunnel test is a common method for wing analysis, but the problem with wind
tunnel tests is that they are expensive and time consuming. A simple designed wing geometry was analyzed and
modified by adding different high-life devices, further analysis was carried out on the modified wing for a
comparative study. For this purpose, a virtual wind tunnel model was created and CFD analysis was carried
out at various angle of attacks for each wing geometry separately. The lift and drag forces and coefficients of
each wing were determined and the comparative study of these showed how minute changes to the wing
improves its overall flow characteristics.

The manmade fibre reinforced composites are costlier, may affect environment, and the scrap produced during fabrication is not reusable. Hence to overcome this we have decided to replace synthetic fibre to natural fibre. The natural fibre selected for present work is kenaf fibre. The present work investigates the strength of kenaf fibre reinforced composite for different proportions of matrix, fibre and filler materials. Experimental investigations are carried out in order to determine mechanical properties by tensile test and bending test. According to ASTM standards specimens are prepared and the results are validated through ANSYS. The specimens were prepared with varying resin 30%, 35% and 40% for specimen A, B and C respectively. This present work contributes for development and characterization of kenaf fibre reinforced composite for Bus Body building activities.

Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is a non-traditional machining process used for machining
of hard materials. EDM processes are used for cavity machining, producing dies and molds, and intricate
machining operations in hard, difficult to machine. In recent years, researchers focused to improve the process
performance of EDM processes. This paper reviews the research work carried out by the researchers on EDM
andon vibration assisted EDM. The review of this research work enables the better understanding of the
vibration assisted EDM process. This study also discusses the influence of vibration parameters such as
vibration frequency and amplitude on the MRR, EWR, and surface roughness. The research gap in the
respective area of research are also presented in this paper.

Nozzles of various sizes and geometries are being used in various fields of engineering. A nozzle is a mechanical device used to convert chemical, thermal energy into kinetic energy. It converts low velocity, high pressure & high temperature gas into high velocity at the exit. It is basically a device used to control rate of flow, speed, direction, mass, shape and/or pressure of the fluid across a system. In an automobile, a nozzle is used to spray fuel air mixture to the piston cylinder through carburetor. A convergent- divergent nozzle is a most commonly used nozzle in aerospace and automobile industries. In this project, diesel and gasoline engine nozzlesare modeled to optimize for maximum performance using multidisciplinary optimization technique................

This paper presents a scheme for estimation of angle of attack (AOA) and angle of side slip (AOS) on a fighter aircraft during its avionics upgrade. The scheme was implemented and validated on a fighter aircraft designed and developed in early 1970 which was required to undergo major avionics upgrade to enhance its operational capabilities with modern sensors and avionics systems. The original version of the aircraft hadmechanical AOA which was not reliable and accurate to meet the combat performance (ground attack role) expected from the upgraded version of the aircraft. A scheme was developed for inflight estimation of AOA using inertial sensor data from the Inertial Navigation System having Laser Gyros.............

An experimental study on the effects of electro-discharge machining (EDM) parameters on the surface finish and material removal rate (MRR) by machining copper work piece with copper electrode is presented. The varying significant parameters are discharge current, pulse on-time and pulse off-time and other parameters such as gap voltage, duty cycle, polarity, flushing pressure etc. are kept constant for the proposed machining. In this all factorial combinations were used for getting the optimum parameters for the required average surface roughnessRa of less than 1μm for the application of finishing a copper beam dump.

In this paper Bond Graph based approach is used for the Design and Analysis of suspension system. The suspension model used for analysis is "Two degree of freedom Quarter car model‟ and the controller use is PID Controller. The response of the system is simulated by using the software "Symbol‟s Shakti".Basically, the automobile suspension‟s design incorporates two criteria‟s which are road handling (Safety factor) and passenger comfort. In order to improve the ride comfort and stability by reducing the body acceleration in vehicles caused by the road irregularities, suspension system plays an imperative role in retaining the continuous road wheel contact for better road holding............

There are two classes of loads which acts on the aircrafts which are surface forces and body forces. Surface forces include aerodynamic and hydrostatic pressure forces while body forces are due to gravitational and inertial effects on the volume of the structure of an aircraft. In these aerodynamic forces are more severe. With the pressure load which occurs due to the production of lift force, bending moment and shear forces will be acting on the wing. These are the most important cases of forces while studying about the Wing to Fuselage lug attachment connections. Rarely an aircraft will fail due to a static overload during its service life. For the continued airworthiness of an aircraft during its entire economic service life, fatigue and damage tolerance design, analysis, testing and service experience correlation play a pivotal role...............

The cam shaft and its combined capacity guide the beginning and finish of the two valves. The associated parts are thrust rods, rocker arms, valve springs and tappets. It consists in of a cylindroids oppression continuous over the number of extend lobes extend from it, one for each gate. A camshaft is a shaft to which a cam is undisturbed or which a cam shapes a component part. The vibration in the camshaft reduces the effectiveness of the engine and augments the rubbing between the rocker arms and the camshaft. This study is centered towards the oscillation analysis of the variegated camshafts that are used in times and to find a material that have the minimum native crowd and no effects on the ability of the electrical engine. The goal of the project is to design cam shaft analytically, its modeling and Analysis under FEA.............
