Footplates are mainly used by patients suffering from partial foot amputation. They assist a person suffering from lower extremities in walking by providing support for the foot and providing forward push off. Now a days foot plates are mainly available using carbon fiber material which is lightweight and has a very high strength to weight ratio. They have now become an alternative to plastic and metal orthoses .It also gives a better push off while coming back to its original position. During walking the loads acting on the footplate are dynamic in nature. During walking the footplate is subjected to repetitive loads that vary with respect to time which can cause failure of the plate and substantially reducing its useful life which is an important aspect of the product as carbon fiber is costly material..............

Hyperelastic materials such as rubbers are widely used in industrial applications. To prevent failure of the components, it is necessary to understand the characteristics of the hyperlasitc materials. Finite Element Analysis is important to assure the safety and reliability of hyperelastic components. This paper reviews the Finite Element Analysis approach for hyperelastic materials and also the various tests required to define the material properties of the hyperelastic materials such as rubber.

A sugar mill comprises of various equipment like heat exchangers, pressure vessels, boilers, and other process equipment. Each equipment contains a number of parts, and their sub-assemblies. These equipment are designed and modeled according to the capacity of the sugar mill i.e. TCD (Tons Crushed per Day). For different TCDs, the 3D model, design and drawings have to be made by changing dimensions of parts and assembly constraints respectively. This is repetitive, time consuming and it requires software skills for 3D modeling and drafting. By using parametric modeling, the task of redesigning equipment for different plant capacities can be made efficient because basic features and relations between them are constant for a specific equipment..................

Two cylinders double acting reciprocating compressor consists of reciprocating parts, due to reciprocating action of piston and cylinder, there is vibration. Vibration created by crankshaft transferred to crankcase, this vibration created must be under allowable limits defined by EFRC [1] (European Forum for Reciprocating Compressors). In this paper we have two crankcase, existing having offset balanced opposite piston cylinder arrangement and modified having inline balanced opposite piston cylinder arrangement. The forces developed due to rotation of crankshaft and reciprocating action are given to harmonic response module in Ansys Software and results are compared.

Torsional vibration analysis of crankshafts of internal combustion engines such as automobile and especially marine applications is of tremendous importance. A lot of failures of crankshafts are found to be due to torsional vibrations. It is extremely important to predict the natural frequencies of crankshafts as the resonance phenomenon can be destructive. In literature the determination of natural frequencies for multicylinder engines has been done by discrete methods. These methods typically involve a multi rotor approach on a shaft and commonly used methods are by Holzer and Stodola. Other methods like influence coefficient matrix are also used.............

The reflector of a compound parabolic concentrator (CPC) play an important role in the solar thermal system. The solar reflector is continuously exposed to environmental conditions, result in the reflectance losses and structural degradation. The research has been done to give real-life time estimation at an affordable cost. The main focus has given towards the optical efficiency and temperature variation on receiver obtained from the different reflective material. At the initial stage reflectivity of the mirror material is more as compare to anodized aluminum sheets. After some months optical efficiency of mirror material decreases due to atmospheric condition whereas anodized aluminum it decreases slightly. The temperature variation obtained on receiver tube surface is compare when mirror reflector and anodized aluminum reflector are used.

We review different preparation methods of percolation of carbon nanotubes (CNT) in polymer composites. We give a survey of different articles published on PDMS-CNT Nano composite. In present survey parameters like CNT types, preparation method, curing time, curing temperature and CNT concentration as well as polymer type are evaluated and determined their impact on maximum conductivity of the composite film. Advantages as well as limitations of these composite fabrication methods are evaluated. To investigate the effect of MWCNTs on the electrical properties of composites, we discussed different fabrication methods for CNTPDMS Nano composite film. In this particularly for the mechanical mixing method polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) mixed in a 1:10 ratio of curing agent and PDMS base because PDMS base is much more viscous than the curing agents. Physical characteristics with high electrical conductivity of the composite film are depends on the effective dispersion of MWCNTs.

In today's competitive world industrialisation has taken Great space in our life. As effect of globalisation competition among industries are increased and all industries striving to produce component or provide service with shorter Span of time to Customer with higher quality. The productivity is main concern for organisation to stay in market. This paper presents a case study which focuses on productivity improvement of multimodal excavator assembly line by using productivity improvement technique, work study. In the case study firstly, the current assembly process is analyses using time study and method study tool. Secondly the cycle time for each work station is calculated and most time-consuming activity in assembly process is selected as bottleneck of station. Thirdly to find the solution which will meet the customer demand. Finally, to implement the new process which will help to achieve desire output.
