Paving blocks composition is made by mixing cement, sand, water or other added ingredients. Widespread use of paving blocks, causing labored added alternative materials that can improve the compressive strength. Lime chosen as an additional alternative ingredients in the mixture of paving blocks. Lime is relatively easy and the price is cheap because it is a potential ingredient in Indonesia were spread in various islands namely in Java, Sumatra and Irian Jaya, so the availability of this material very much. The study aims to determine the effect of adding lime to the compressive strength of the paving blocks. Tests were done by making the specimen or printed manuals with a compressive strength test after test specimen aged 7 , 14 , 21 and 28 days to get the optimum composition in the addition of lime. Tests were carried out with the addition of lime to the levels 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10% of the content of the cement used in the test object with a compressive strength test with a compressive strength testing machine pressed. The results of tests carried out will be known how much lime content that is optimal in order to improve the compressive strength of the paving blocks, so that the resulting quality will be better than normal paving blocks.

This research study is a part of research of soft clay and expansive clay stabilization with electrokinetic process. The movement of electricity in the clay caused to several phenomena including electrochemistry, electrophoresis, and elektroosmosis. In this study, the author discusses the phenomenon of cation exchange on expansive clays that occur during the electrokinetic process. Exchanger ions in this study is a calcium ions (Ca2+) which is used as a stabilizer. Research carried out on 3 types of soft clay and expansive to get the behavior of cation exchange phenomenon is more valid and complete on clay soil. Electrokinetic process is done by using direct current (DC) with capacity 5 until 10 Volt. Observation of the phenomenon of cation exchange is done by measuring the concentration of calcium ion (Ca2+) and compared to other ion concentration contained in clay for a certain period by using the AAS method (Atomic Absorption Spectrum). The results showed that an increase in the concentration of Ca2+ ions in the clay during the electrokinetic process. Increased Ca2+ offset by a reduction in other cations, such as sodium (Na+), and pottasium (K+) in the clay. The results could be used as a basic knowledge in developing electrokinetic processes as an alternative to expansive clay stabilization effort.

The present work involves the study of tool deflection and tool failure due to vibrations while turning on the lathe. The problem of tool failure monitoring in machining operations, has been an active area of research for quite a long time. The accurate prediction of tool failure or fracture is important to have a better product quality and dimensional accuracy. In This work Experiments were performed with mild steel as work piece and HSS, STAINLESS STEEL, CEMENTED CARBIDE and CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) as a tool material and the various machining forces have been measured experimentally. Cutting tool model being designed by taking existing cutting tool dimensions. Finite element analysis is done using ANSYS 14.5 software tool to find frequencies of HSS STAINLESS STEEL, CEMENTED CARBIDE and CBN cutting tools. Modal analysis has been done to determine the minimum vibrations for a particular rake angle for the cutting tool.

Engineering with higher accuracy and precision is going through an accelerated motion over the last 40 years. There is no unique international definition for Nano engineering. However, this development is driven by customer requirements for much higher function of goods, products and services. On the other hand, the concept of sustainability was not given enough importance and consideration, while engineering was going through a rapid development, until late 90's. In this paper the term Nano sustainability is highlighted because of an effective real threat and danger to us caused by misunderstanding of the relationships between the development of engineering and sustainability at the Nano scale.

The determination of mineral percentage has great significance for the rock identification and the analysis of geological environment. However, In the process of practical application, the traditional estimation is easy to make an error and difficult to be mastered. This paper introduces a kind of method which grids the watching horizon by the assistant measuring glass. In that way, you can change irregular shape and uneven distribution rock constituents into multiple squares, which is convenient for its percentage content and grain diameter in statistic. Because of convenient operation and high accuracy, this method has high practical significance.

Zhaike and north of Danba area is located in Shanbei slope of Ordos Basin in the central south, which is on a tilting monoclinal structure towards west. Its prototype appeared in the late Jurassic and formed in the early cretaceous. The exploratory degree is low here, therefore, the study on depositional system, sedimentary facies, reservoir distribution, traps accumulation, and the hydrocarbon enrichment of the member 4+5 and 6 of Yanchang Formation is not enough and it needs further understands. This paper choose previous studies for the background, based on the outcrop, core and well log data, analyzing the lithologic characteristics, log facies and sedimentary microfacies. The result shows that the member4+5 and 6 are mainly belongs to delta systems, which can be further divided into one subfacies and four microfacies. Finally, according to the distribution and evolution law of the sedimentary micfacies, the depositional model of the study area can be obtained.

Dynamic reactive power optimization is about the continuous variation of the load, and considers the problem of the optimization of the motion numbers of reactive power compensation equipment action. Set up the objective function and constraint conditions in the process of dynamic optimization, and divide the load curve into segments. The objective function is the minimum of network loss and compensation capacity in the limit of the voltage, and the constraints includes the maximum numbers of compensation equipments and so on. In addition, the paper improves the segmentation technology on the basis of further researching the advantages and disadvantages of the existing load curve segmentation methods. Normalize the reactive load in the whole day and compare the difference of average and original data with threshold value for segmentation again. Apply the improved segmentation method and the multi-agent ant colony algorithm which are put forward in this paper
to dynamic reactive power optimization in distribution network. The experimental results verify the effectiveness of this method.

This article put forward the application of generalized cross-correlation algorithm to estimate the shock wave signal time delay estimation in allusion to the situation that outside noise and reverberation have little effect on shock wave signal which is produced by the supersonic object. This paper mainly studied the shock wave signal time delay estimation problem of generalized cross-correlation algorithm and the simulation verified the feasibility and effectiveness of generalized cross-correlation function in estimating time delay value; At the same time the paper simulate the delay estimation performance under different SNR, the experimental results show that for the shock wave signal PHAT weighting function has the characteristics of TDE accurately, anti-interference ability and high efficiency.

The challenges of revealing packed malware by security analysts is enormous however, malware researchers have tried to use entropy analysis to detect packed malware. Since the problem of revealing packed malware is the time taken to unpack a malware and the analysis which helps to reveal the packed malware is centered on entropy analysis. However, the need arises to determine if a packed malware is revealed using entropy analysis and if it is not, how is the analysis techniques related to entropy analysis. Consequently, a survey was conducted on packed malware research works, using entropy and entropy related analysis. The survey was categorized into two tiers namely, executable unpacking analysis and unpacking identification. Executable unpacking analysis shows that the packed malware is based on: entropy analysis, use of identifiers and entropy analysis, improved entropy analysis and entropy related analysis. With the survey on unpacking identification, shows that pattern recognition techniques and computed confidence interval, make use of entropy analysis. Original entry point, the use of UPX and emulations techniques, are used as identifiers with entropy analysis to detect packed malware. Entropy reduction techniques are used to improved entropy analysis. Attributes in executable file header and complexity measured by several algorithms are used as entropy related analysis. The survey shows that research works on packed malware detection, either make use of entropy or entropy related analysis.
