The constant growth of the digital enterprise has led a continuous growth of data sources and data that feeds into a potential big data eco system. With the advent of Internet of Things (IOT), multiple devices are getting connected with each of them being a big source of potential data. One such potential source of constant data feed are sensor devices which monitor wide variety of environmental data such as air pressure, temperate, humidity, orientation and further elements. We could easily envisage various ways of processing this data to suite various business and enterprise needs. The use of Bluetooth low energy (BLE) integrated in the Raspberry PI board along with the beacon technology for data transmissions helps serve the purse of a power and cost efficient solution. This paper present an approach to monitor the environmental data using commodity hardware like the Raspberry PI, sensor tag using BLE...........

The study of mixed convection in a vertical channel with symmetric and asymmetric wall heating conditions including viscous dissipation in the presence of heat sources, sinks and thermal radiation is analyzed. The two boundaries are considered as isothermal-isothermal, isoflux-isothermal and isothermal-isoflux for the left and right walls of the channel and kept either at equal or at different temperature. The velocity and temperature fields are obtained by perturbation method for various parameters such as ratio of Grashoff number and Reynolds number (λ), the product of λ and Brinkman number for symmetric and asymmetric wall temperatures in the presence of heat sources, sinks and thermal radiation. The results are drawn graphically. The viscous dissipation enhances the flow reversal in the case of downward flow while it counters the flow in the case of upward flow.

The braking system is very important components in the motor vehicle without which the vehicle could possibly result in road accident. In this study, a non-disposable brake pad sensor was design and fabricated to enable imminent failure alert in order to reduce the risk of road accidents. The research approach involved development of both hardware and software components of the sensor. The hardware components include the microcontroller, contact sensor, battery, communication PC cable, capacitors and Tri-colour LED indicator while the software components include Mikro C Pro (to write the program and compile it). The test results indicated that, during normal operating condition, the Tri-colour LED emits green colour signifying that the brake pad is in good condition...........

This paper deals with a single server retrial queueing system in which customers arrive according to poisson fashion with state dependent rates. An arriving customer enters into service immediately on finding the server free; otherwise the customer enters into a retrial orbit and repeatedly attempts to access the server at independent and identically distributed intervals. We study the classical and constant retrial policy in accordance with the discipline to access the server from the orbit. The service interruption due to server breakdown is taken into consideration. The repairman repairs the server in m-phases and also requires general distributed set up time before starting repair of 1st phase. The life-time and phase repair time of the server are assumed to be according exponential and general distributed, respectively. We perform the steady state analysis of the model using supplementary variable technique and Laplace transform; then employ the probability generating function approach to derive expressions for various performance measures. Finally, numerical illustration is given to explore the effect of various parameters on the system performance.

Steady laminar flow of a micropolar fluid towards a stagnation point on a vertical melting surface is investigated. The external velocity is normal to the wall, and the wall temperature is assumed to vary linearly with distance from the stagnation point. The transformed nonlinear ordinary differential equations describing the flow are solved numerically by Runge-Kutta fourth order along with shooting technique. The velocity, angular velocity and temperature profiles of fluid flow for different values of the governing parameters, is presented. The effects of the melting and material parameters with radiation effect on the flow and heat transfer characteristics are examined thoroughly. The results show that both the material and melting parameters reduce the heat transfer rate on the fluid–solid interface.
