General recommendation systems are used to suggest appropriate items to the users. The book recommendation systems analyze the content of the book or reviews of readers to suggest apt choice for the user. Book recommendation systems are used to suggest a novice user with the right choice and also simplify the complex decision making process by extracting information from the knowledge base. These systems implement automation which reduce existing workload on the current organization and at the same time create a knowledge base which very useful for information extraction. Libx - An Automated Bibliotheca is basically a book recommendation system which will be used by students and staff to access the library facility such as books and papers and exam notes. It will provide the best of reference books through recommendation and feedback by others. Recommender systems help in automating and making decisions based on the collective knowledge and lay the foundation of solving decision based approaches in the future on various streams from information technology to robotics.

Personalization is inevitable in the field of news domain. Due to the increased use of internet and increase in the number of news channels, the production of news is vast. The public find it difficult to get the latest updates on their interest from the large quantity of news produced. People rely on news stories which consist of related events than the exact news update. The Journalist finds it difficult to extract related news events to create news story from the news archives due to the huge volume of news and insufficient automated tools. We have conducted a study about the existing personalized news extraction approaches for this problem and this paper include its details

A control chart is a graphical device for representation of the data for knowing the extent of variations from the expected standard. The technique of control chart was suggested by W.A. Shewhart of Bell Telephone Company based on three sigma limits. M. Harry, the engineer of Motorola has introduced the concept of six sigma in 1980. In six sigma initiatives, it is expected to produce 3.4 or less number of defects per million of opportunities. Moderate distribution proposed by Naik V.D and Desai J.M, is a sound alternative of normal distribution, which has mean and mean deviation as pivotal parameters and which has properties similar to normal distribution. Naik V.D and Tailor K.S. have suggested the concept of 3-delta control limits and developed various control charts based on this distribution. In this paper an attempt is made to construct a control chart based on three delta and six delta initiatives for X-bar chart associated with mean deviation. Suitable Table for mean deviation is also constructed and presented for the engineers for making quick decisions.

Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by-products in Nigeria is hazardous. The cause was traced to wrong computation of components for blending. This led to the development of this model and its software to proffer solution.Standard PMS blend specification was identified, percentage by volume required was evolved by developed mathematical models to generate the correct values. The correct specification of Research Octane Number (RON), Reid Vapour Pressure (RVP) and Density (D) after blending were compared with the available set standard to know the accuracy of the blend. Software was developed for implementing these models. Applications of the developed model and its software determined the acceptable values of RVP (9psi), RON (90) and D (0.7500-0.7600) g/cm3..............

The present work deals with the synthesis, structural and magnetic characterizations of pure and zinc doped nickel ferrite (NiFe2O4 and Ni0.65Zn0.35Fe2O4) nanoparticles. The Ni0.65Zn0.35Fe2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized by sol-gel auto combustion method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) techniques were used for the characterization of the prepared samples. The structural properties were estimated from X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies. The principle absorption bands correspond to octahedral lattice site was observed from FTIR spectra. The average particle size was calculated by using Debye Scherer's formula and the obtained values are of few nanometer. The M-H curves recorded at room temperature exhibits a typical hysteresis loop indicating that the sample exhibits ferrimagnetic behaviour. The large coercivity (Hc) values indicate nanocrystalline nature of the present samples. The coercivity, saturation magnetization, remanence magnetization and magneton number found to be influenced by zinc doping.

We come across several cases of 2-wheelers getting stolen from parking area or sometimes we forgot to remove the key. In such cases it is really difficult, time taking and needs help from law enforcement authority to trace and recover the vehicle. This project is aimed at designing a suitable security system to solve this problem. Main concept behind this project is to provide security to 2-wheelers using a 4 digit password entered through a keypad. The ignition system is enabled only through the password. This system disables the ignition system and turns on the buzzer when wrong password is entered for 3 times successively to attract attention of people nearby and locks also the keypad. User can change the password anytime. This project is implemented using ATMEGA2560 Controller.............

The construction industry has unique properties and has different characteristics on each project. These properties and characteristics that make the construction insudtry become one of the industries that have a high level of accident risk. Based on data reports International Labor Organization (ILO) every day there are about 6,000 fatal workplace accidents in the world, so they need for identification and risk prevention. Prevention use to minimize the risk of accidents that can occur. Classification of risks that can be done based on the type of work. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires through google form on 10 projects at PT.X. The collected data is used as primary data in this research. Based on the result of the test, 14 indicators of occupational accidents risk are found in medium level, while 47 other indicators are in low level. Risk control is performed with engineer risk control, administrative risk control, and risk control in self-protection equipment (PPE). Risk control is an effort to minimize the risk of occupational accidents, so as to reduce the level of accidents that can occur during project implementation.

Any frequent small load fluctuations in the interconnected area or deregulated power system network results into the deviation of the area frequencies and also of the tie-line powers. For achieving minimum deviation of frequency and tie-line power it is necessary to approach the best method for controlling the governor action. The main motto of AGC is to keep the power system in the normal operating conditions. In this paper, the controller gain is optimized by the PSO technology and it is shown through graphs that the PSO optimization technique application provides better dynamic performance than the conventional controllers. To analyze the system model MATLAB Simulink is used. The results from the simulation shows that the controllers that are based on PSO gives the better result than the integral controller with respect to the change in frequency following the step load change
