Country :: India
Authors :: Dr.P.Srimanchari || Dr.G.Anandharaj
Page No. :: 11-14

This work introduces a set of scalable algorithms to identify patterns of human daily behaviors. These patterns are extracted from multivariate temporal data that have been collected from smartphones. We have exploited sensors that are available on these devices, and have identified frequent behavioral patterns with a temporal granularity, which has been inspired by the way individuals segment time into events. We briefly introduce the basics of related research topics, review state-of-the-art approaches, and present some preliminary thoughts on future research directions. This paper proposes a fusion of three different data models like relational, semantically, and big data based data and metadata involving their issues and enhanced capabilities.

Title :: Classification of Stuck at Faults in Synchronous Sequential Circuits Using Artificial Neural Network
Country :: India
Authors :: G. Nithya || M. Ramaswamy
Page No. :: 15-22

The paper develops an artificial neural networks (ANNs) based procedure for classifying the stuck at faults (SAF) in the primary output of the synchronous sequential circuits. It builds fault models based on back propagation (BPN) and the extreme learning machine algorithm (ELM) in an effort to process the circuit input–output measurements. It creates the fault dictionary by inserting single and two simultaneous stuck at faults in the circuit. The methodology explores different sizes of test vectors from the fault dictionary to classify the faults through a process of training with the circuit responses obtained from measuring and coding both the input and output signals. The results obtained with the serial adder as the CUT reveal that ANN can serve as an on line classifier for extraditing the occurrence of the SAFs. The comparative performance of the two algorithms show that the ELM based implementation results in faster learning and higher accuracy. The fundamental basis of the scheme enumerates a new dimensional scope for the role of ANN in classifying faults and allows it to claim a space in practical utilities.

Page No. :: 32-41

Construction of tall buildings for residential and commercial purposes has increased rapidly with the progress of construction technology. The structural design for these tall buildings entails the design for strength to ensure the safety of the structure and to satisfy the limit requirements of lateral displacement and storey drifts of the building. Hence, due to the heavy loadings, the analysis and design for stiffness requires the use of effective design methods. Thus, this paper uses the structural analysis software ETABS to analyze the effect of gravity and lateral loads on a medium high rise building. The vertical and lateral loads are applied to the structure. The building is then analyzed and designed for the applied loadings.............

In this study, nitrogen doped titanium dioxide (NTiO2) thin films were deposited by dc reactive magnetron sputtering technique on glass substrates at different nitrogen partial pressures and studied the chemical composition, crystalline structure, surface morphology and optical properties. The composition of Ti and nitrogen increased with increasing the nitrogen partial pressures.The films exhibited anatase phase and crystallinity of films increases with increasing the nitrogen partial pressuresupto6x10-3 mbar. The films deposited at nitrogen partial pressure of 6x10-3 mbar two broad peaks are appeared at 395 and 644 cm-1in Raman spectra and are from TiO2anatase phase.The optical band gap of the films was calculated and a narrowing of the band gap from 3.11 eV to 2.98 eV was observed by increasing the nitrogen partial pressure.

In this work eleven water samples are collected from surface and ground water sources of three different villages Pondugala, Ananthavaram, and Chandrala in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. The water quality is analysed for its suitability for drinking and construction purposes. Water quality index is developed based on two models viz., Parameter value based and standard value based and the index values obtained are compared. The water quality is high in hardness and TDS indicating water needs to be treated appropriately before using. The construction water quality indicates the water quality is high in acidity, alkalinity, organic and inorganic content. Two sources are identified as relatively better suitable among the 11 samples collected.

Title :: A Review on Use of Synthetic Geogrids for Soil Reinforcement
Country :: India
Authors :: Ayush Mittal
Page No. :: 80-53

In recent times, soil reinforcement is considered as one of the most important tool in various civil engineering projects since removal and replacement is not an economically viable option. One of the most important applications is in field of subgrade stabilization of pavement. As the subgrade serves as the foundation for pavement it should have sufficient load carrying capacity. In India more than 20% land area is covered with soils having low CBR and shear strength values. The pavement constructed over such soils deteriorates significantly under heavy wheel loads. In order to overcome such situations recently use of geosynthetic materials comes into picture. Their use reduces the construction cost and time drastically in comparison to other conventional reinforcement materials. The present study reviews the available state of the art knowledge on use of synthetic geogrids in soil reinforcement purposes including their types, initial development and use areas.

Authors :: K.Lokeshwaran || A.Rajesh || P. Nandakumar
Page No. :: 84-88

The key idea of linked open data (LOD) is to interlink the related contents on the web. Due to the dynamic nature of the web, the contents on the web will change more often. The change in contents on the web leads to broken links. The operations like create, delete, move or update on the web are the major reasons for broken link. Sometimes, if semantic of the contents is altered it will also result in broken link. Semantic broken links are very hard to handle by humans and machines. In this paper we have used well defined flagging approach to identify the semantic broken link. In this approach the semantic modification in the pages are detected using a flagging scheme.

Country :: India
Authors :: Dr. Mamta Goyal || Gyanchand Gurjar
Page No. :: 89-99

The present investigation deals with the study of fluid flow mass and heat transfer characteristics in the melting process towards a stretching/shrinking surface. The governing equations representing fluid flow have been transformed into nonlinear ordinary differential equations using similarity transformation. The equations thus obtained have been solved numerically using Runge–Kutta forth order method with shooting technique. The effects of the magnetic parameters on the fluid flow mass and heat transfer characteristics have been illustrated graphically and discussed in detail. Significant changes were observed in the fluid flow mass and heat transfer with respect to magnetic parameter.
